Importing your DEGIRO transactions into a portfolio tracker
DEGIRO can export your transactions as a CSV file. This guide explains which of its two kinds of export to use, which columns Allocaria reads, how a purchase is told from a sale in that file, and what the review table asks you to check before anything is recorded.

Choosing the right export
The web platform has a transactions page that can export the trades of a chosen period as a CSV file; the menu names follow the language of your account and can change. Use the transactions export, not the account statement. The statement lists cash movements; the transactions file lists trades with their quantity and price, and that is what a tracker needs.
Choose the longest period offered, ideally from the first trade, and bring several files in one after another if the period has to be split.
What the file looks like
The columns used are the date, the ISIN, the quantity and the price, with the product name beside them. The headings follow the language of your account: for example Datum, Aantal and Koers in Dutch, Anzahl and Kurs in German, Quantité and Cours in French. All of these are recognised.
The price is followed by a column with no heading that carries its currency; the reader takes the currency from there.
How a purchase is told from a sale
The direction comes from the sign of the quantity: a positive quantity is a purchase and a negative quantity is a sale.
The instrument is identified by its ISIN, which is exact. The file gives a product name rather than a ticker.
A row with no ISIN or a quantity of zero is counted and not read.
A price quoted in pence on a London listing is converted to pounds.
Fees are not read: the table shows a fee of 0 for the person to compare with the statement.
Checking the table before saving
What is read from a file is a proposal, not a record. The rows appear in a table, and nothing is added to the portfolio until the person has looked at them and confirmed.
Compare the number of rows with your DEGIRO transactions page, check a few against the statement and fill in anything shown as missing. After saving, the quantity of each position ought to match the broker's own portfolio view.
Common questions
No. Only the exported file is read. No password, login or key is asked for, and nothing is placed or changed at the broker.
DEGIRO's transactions file identifies each instrument by its ISIN and a product name. The ISIN is an exact identifier, so it is shown as read instead of being guessed into a ticker.
Brokers change their exports from time to time, and the reader follows the layout of DEGIRO files as published and as public samples show it. A file that does not match is either refused with a plain reason or shown with the missing pieces empty, never guessed. A screenshot, a pasted list or the form still work.
